2008 Best College Cars for Students
Being on a college budget does not mean driving a hand-me-down heap. College-age drivers want a car with style; something that makes them look great. But it also has to be a car they don’t have to worry about on top of a hectic schedule, homework, and an apparently insane mathematics professor. The new ride should also leave enough cash in the bank for textbooks, visits back to the hometown, and the “occasional” night on the town with your friend.
We know first-hand what it is like to be a college student in need of wheels. A low cost-of-ownership and reliability are key factors. That's nice and all, but nobody wants grandma’s car, so we have tossed style into the mix to provide you with a list of cars that will get you to class, in class. Fortunately, automakers have discovered that inexpensive and reliable cars don’t need to be stone cold ugly. The head-of-the-class cars for college drivers are some of those most stylish rides on the road.
