Land Rover Terrain Response

While Land Rover vehicles are based on luxury, it is rooted in off-road performance, and that is where Land Rovers decades of four-wheel-drive experience comes into play. The Terrain Response™ system offers full-time four-wheel-drive, 2-speed transfer case, hill descent control, and a center locking differential. With the flip of a switch, the the Terrain Response system will adjust the suspension of the vehicle to suite the terrain.

There are three driver-controlled modes: Standard for everyday driving, Access lowers the vehicle when parked for easier entry and exit, and an Off-road mode that provides maximum ground clearance. In addition, the Land Rover Terrain Response™ system allows the driver to select one of five terrain types: general, grass/gravel/snow, mud/ruts, sand, and rock crawl. The Terrain Response™ system then continuously monitors vehicle to optimze performance for the road surface selected.

The uniquely integrated 4x4 Information Center keeps the driver up-to-date on off-road performance.
