The Dodge brand of Chrysler LLC has always had the biggest lineup of vehicles, which some usually refer to as a full lineup since its vehicles compete in just about every major automotive market. One vehicle that Dodge has always lacked was a crossover. With the introduction of the 2009 Dodge Journey, Dodge’s signature crosshair grille and Ram logo were finally among the many competitors in the popular and profitable segment. Where the Chrysler Pacifica came up short, the Dodge Journey seats up to seven passengers and has one of the most versatile interiors in the industry. Compared to the Mazda CX-9, Toyota Highlander and Saturn Outlook, the 2009 Journey has the right look at the right price in the right market where it should be able to see adequate success.
With the crosshair grille and squared-off front end, the Journey looks at home next to the Grand Caravan, Caliber and Avenger, but the biggest news is what the Journey offers on the inside.
