From Ferrari’s perspective, its certified pre-owned Vehicle program is designed to protect Ferrari owners from the uncertainties of life so the owner can fully enjoy the experience of owning and driving one the world’s finest vehicles.

Ferrari’s Certified Program Details

The vehicles allowed into Ferrari’s program have to be 12 years old or newer and can’t have more than 60,000 miles on them. Once accepted into the certified pre-owned vehicle program the vehicle is run through a comprehensive set of tests that are completed by Ferrari’s trained technicians.

101-Point Inspection

One of the main components of the evaluation of the new vehicle into the program is the completion of the 101-Point Inspection and reconditioning. This includes looking over the interior and exterior of the vehicle, checking out all operational components, checking the engine, the fuel system, the powertrain, basically every aspect of the vehicle. Repairs are completed as per Ferrari’s stringent standards, until the vehicle is ‘as good as new’ again.

Once the vehicle passes the series of tests, it is considered to be a certified pre-owned Ferrari and then comes with all the benefits of the program. The benefits include, amongst others:

• Limited Warranty

Roadside Assistance

Ferrari offers a full 24 hours a day roadside assistance package. For service, one only needs to call the center for help. The problems will be dealt with smoothly and efficiently. If the problem requires more than a simple solution, the center will know how to deal with these; contingency plans are there in the event of a breakdown, a theft a fire or an accident.

Warranty Coverage

Ferrari handles warranty coverage in a different way than many of the other automakers do. They have what is known as Power Service Contracts. There are three different levels available.

• Power Train - This warranty applies to vehicles that are 7-9 years old. It is available for one year of coverage and can be purchased anytime after the expiration of the original new car warranty. It is renewable every year. One year is included as part of the Certified vehicle Program. This covers the main parts of the vehicle, the engine and the transmission, major electrical and other components.
• Power - This program applies to vehicles less than 7 years old and is a more comprehensive Power Service Contract. It is for one year but can be upgraded to a two-year version. This system covers the transmission, suspension, electrical systems and the engine as well as a few other areas.
• Power Cube - This coverage is comparable to a new car limited warranty. It is 12 months in duration. This warranty can only be utilized if the Additional Year warranty was added to the standard two-year warranty of the new vehicle. Some limits apply and it is only applicable for very new model Certified Used Vehicles.
