The newest addition to Chrysler lineup, the Aspen SUV is a replacement for the retired Pacifica. Based off the Dodge Durango, the Aspen adds a more luxurious interior, while retaining the three-row seating, Hemi engine and off-road capabilities. To improve fuel economy, Chrysler introduced the Aspen Hybrid for 2009. The Aspen uses the same two-mode hybrid system as GM trucks and SUVs giving it an increase of 50 percent in city fuel economy. The Chrysler Aspen comes with a lifetime powertrain warranty and gets an estimated 17-19 mpg on the highway.
