The origin of Lamborghini started as a direct result of Ferrari and currently rests in the ownership of the Volkswagen group. Originally, Lamborghini produced only farm tractors, but after a disagreement between its owner and Enzo Ferrari, Lamborghini began building his its own sports car line. While early Lamborghinis were conventional front-engine, rear-wheel drive sports cars, the 1966 Miura was one of the first mid-engine sports cars built for street use. Later models include the iconic Countach and Diablo, and the current lineup is the largest ever with three models: the Murciélago, Gallardo and ultra-rare Reventón.
