I recently purchased this camry and it is in bad need of a tune-up. When I pulled the spark plug wires off the plugs the end of the boot was stuck around the plug! How do I get the plugs out now?

I'd take it to another shop, one that can put it on an analyzer. Sounds to me like they could have mixed up the ignition wires. Every time I suspected a bad fuel filter on my '90 (218,000 miles) Camry that wasn't the problem. Could be bad timing, too. Those are cheap and simple things to check first.
