Does the timing belt have to be replaced in my 2001 Volvo S40 despite the fact that it's only been driven 47,500 miles? My dealer didn't recommend it when the car went out of warranty in July, but my independent Volvo mechanic highly recommends it be done immediately. Tell me what you think? Thanks.

I own a 2004.5 Volvo S40 T5 and I am a bit concerned about the knobs on my console, they are falling apart and they shed rubber everytime that I clean my interior. are there replacement knobs or knobs with better material. does anyone have any suggestions?
