I have a 2001 Impala. I have an intermittant problem with the brakes. Every so often the Trac light will come on along with the ABS light and the breaks will start to grab and it sounds like they are grinding. Please Help!

My service traction light came on one day, and ever since then my car, when i put it into drive and start to go, makes a funny noise. I dont guess the engine is stalling but I stop pushing the gas for a second anyway. After a couple of seconds I can hit the gas and everything is back to normal.
