We supply this information to you so that you can take the printed out TIP price and say you want to pay no more than this price, since this is what the vehicles are selling for. It seems like the TIP on the Vibe is about 400 bucks over invoice, which is a fantastic price. PLUS the incentives on it will get you another $500 bucks off OR 0% financeing (I would take the 0% if you qualify (see our incentives vs finance calculator to compare savings). Basically, our TIP allows you to go into the dealership knowing you can get a great deal without the back and forth pricing war that is somethimes associated with buying a car.

As far as the best time to buy, usually toward the end of the month is a good time. However, with the TIP, you already have a great starting point, so if you need to buy in the beginning or middle of the month, you can expect to get the same great savings from your local dealership!

06 Ford F250 Super Duty Pricing

Hi ! I just looked at a Ford Ford F250 Super Duty Lariat w/FX4 package, short bed, diesel, with 11,156 miles on it. The used car dealer was asking $38,245 for it and I offered $33,000 for it and he turned me down. I was just wondering if you could tell me what a fair price would be for this.

Thank you.

Eddie Wetmore

ssetw03@yahoo.com

Re: tip price from autotropolis.com

Bruce,

Unfortunatly, every dealership is different.. Our TIP Price is the average of all the sales from the previous month in your state - They may be correct in saying that for a huge area such as Chicago - Have you thought of calling a dealer a few miles outside Chicago - Also, 2% under invoice is always a fantastic deal - Make sure that that does not include any incentives or rebates in that 2% under invoice. Another thing to consider is the TIP price may take into consideration incentives as well as sales price, so find out about the vehicle's current incentives.
