new van purchase with hail and rock damage

Good day Sir,

My husband purchased a brand new 2008 Ford E250 white exended cargo van. We were to pick up the van after they added a ladder rack to the top. When we went to pick up the van, the salesman was applying the paper tag and we noticed many (40 -50) pits in the paint and some more pits on the windows with 1 window cracked. The salesman said they had a tornado touch down in the area and flying rocks/debris must have hit the vehicle. The dealership said they did not have another new van and there was not anymore 2008 extended vans in texas They offered to fix the damage and promised the repairs would be NOT be noticable. After more than 2 weeks and after many phone calls they said the work had not even been started as they were waiting for the insurance company to look at the damage. They pleaded for a couple of more days. After the 2 days, we went to pick up our NEW Van and were told the windows were not repaired yet and were on back order. With respect to the 40 - 50 pits in the paint, they had only hand painted white paint on the marks leaving each and every one with a slightly raised area and they did not do the pits on the roof. Now, they are saying they will still replace the windows but in lieu of painting the ENTIRE van and renting us and enterprise cargo van for my husbands work, would give us a reduction of our already PURCHASED PRICE of $27,000.00. We are at a loss as to what would be fair to them and us. We feel like were are stuck between a rock and hard stone. Can you please give me some advise on what would be a fair reduction. I have tried to research this to know avail and am desparate for some experieced knowledge.

Clutch Fan Removal

I have a 1999 Ford Explorer. I have removed the belt from the fan. I have four small bolts on the unit on the water pump side. And one large bult which I have a clutch wrench that fits it. Now how do I loosen this bolt to remove it. I see from the new water pump it has thread to it. What should be my next step

transmission will not engage into any gear after it has warmed up for a few minutes. goes into all gears when you first start it, then will not work after it warms up. any advice out there?

Alternator or Starter???

I am on the 3rd battery for my 1999 Ford Taurus SE/6-cylinder/3.0engine/24valve overhead cam..............I just bought this 3rd one a week ago, for $75.00. I drove it about 30 miles and the dash lights went dim, headlights went dim, car just died on me and is sitting at a neighbor's house now. Some people are telling me its the Alternator. Some say its the Starter. I found a used Alternator at a junk yard for $50. But don't want to take that option? I found someone who said if I charged the battery for 4 hours and got the car to his garage, he would take it out, repair it to new, and install it, for about $100-$160 dollars???? Someone tested the Alternator last year and it was fine, running strong. Help!!! What part to I need to buy? This is my only transportation. Single Mom on disability with 2 kids, recovering from brain surgery, need to get to the doctor appointments and the store for food. Can anyone tell me which way to go? Alternator or Starter.

2000 jeep cherokee laredo fuel pump relay problems

Can you tell me what drive the relay. I can jump it to make the fuel pump run. The relay and fuse are all good.There is power to the relay coil and ground with a meter to check it.I powered the relay off the battery to check it and it was good.In the book it shows that the ground is applied by the pcm.Is the a sensor of some sort that would keep this from happening.

Ok my car has been running fine but all of a sudden it wont crank.... I have plenty of power so I know it isnt the battery or the alternator... So then I push started it.. (it is a stick) to go to the auto part store to get a new starter.. Well when i got there the man helped me out and said that it was not the starter because he took a wire and started it by wiring it from the battery to the starter... He said it could either be the neutral safety switch or the key ignition switch... Im not very bright with cars.... I do not know where the neutral safety switch is on my car, if someone could possibly help me by telling me or able to give me a sight where i could see the safety switch I would be extremeley grateful... If you have other comments please let me know... Thank you..

cadillac catera oil pressure

hello i dirive a cadillac catera 1998 engine v-6 2962 3.0l dohc. Sometime when i am driving my oil pressure wil go liw, but my light will not turn on this started when i took my car to jiffy lube and got an oil change and used high millage oil. before that when i drove it was not going all the way down but when i hit the gas or brake the gage will go up and down i never got that checked because i thought that was okay i guess my first question is that normal? i took the car to a local dealer who and on the writee up paper it says " performed oil pressure test with engine hooked up and moniterd upon check out with oil pressure gauge hooked up found that the warmer the vechicle got the lower the oil pressure was for tengine close to min SPECS. advised customer possible to try lucus engine treatment additive during next oil change even 10w 40 but it is a internal issue with engine possible oil pump is failing internal engine bearing" what does this mean currently iam still paying for this car and need it for work pubblic transportion is limited where i live please help.
