check the air intake hoses between the air filter housing, make sur the clamps are tight and that there are no air leaks between the mass airflow sensor and the throttle body. sounds like an air metering problem to me...

usually the replacement fuel pump comes with a new connector harness...it is fairly common that the original connector gets burned...seems more common on chevys to me

check your sway-bar bushings...maybe a little lube

i've dealt with alot of gm fuel pumps that are noisey yet still work fine...check fuel pressure...sometimes a fuel filter that needs replacing can cause the fuel pump to work harder causing it to be noisey too.
