put what fliud is recomend  putting synthetic in trans   will cause trans failure wrong gear starts  slipping    etc   put what belongs in it     service the trans like your owners manual says to

it would be cheaper to go the dealer   the shifter part  most likly is over 50 $     check all fuses first 

check the torque convertor bolts make sure that they r tight then look at the flex plate make sure that it isnt crack

go sell your crap some where else

for the engine  or the trans  ?

if the band is broken then the trans will have to come out to fix     if the flat peice  is broken then u can drop the pan to fix  that peice is called a strut
