Sounds like the blower motor relay has possibly failed. If you can, find the blower motor under the passenger side of the dash and check to see if you're getting power. This will tell you if it's a source problem or a component problem.

Have your CV joints checked. It sounds like this may be your popping noise. You can check it yourself by turning the wheel so you can check the driveshaft boots. Generally, the popping noise will happen because the boot was torn and dirt and debris have entered the joint and caused wear.
As far as the timing belt is considered, that is ...

Nissan recently showed the first official images of its 2009 370Z sports coupe. Building off the heritage from the original 240Z in 1970, the new Z carries a sleek, sporty design as well as replacing the aged 350Z powerplant with a bigger, more powerful engine. Is it a factory or aftermarket trailer brake control?
-
First of all, if this ever happens again, just turn the key off and the engine will stop allowing for adequate braking. Secondly, I know it's a stressful situation when you can't stop your car, but did you try hitting cancel on the cruise control in addition to depressing the brake pedal? Something definitely isn't getting the message ...

Technically the swap should work, it just depends on the amount of work you're willing to invest to make it happen. The Lexus SC300 used a 3.0-liter I-6, while the SC400 used a 4.0-liter V-8. The bigger V-8 engine will definitely fit in the engine bay, but you're right about the motor mounts. Those may take some "adjusting" to ...
