    1990 b2200 cold start

1990 b2200 pick up with Carb. When cold you have to pump accelerator a lot of times to crank. You have to continue to pump accelerator to keep it running for maybe 30 seconds then it will idle at about 2000 rpms until warm and then it will go down to around 1000 rpms. Two times I have noticed a wet spot under the vehicle. It had leaked fuel. I looked under the hood to see where the gas was coming from. It looked like it was coming from the fuel pump. It is always hard to crank but has only leaked the gas twice. Any ideas?

Replace your fuel pump seal, and maybe the pump if you feel it needs to be changed as well.  Also, have someone check your choke on the carb.  That's what it sounds like your problem is coming from.  I don't know if the 90 has an electronic choke or vacume.  If it's electronic, then there's a problem with the temp sensors on your engine.  FI it's a vacume, then you might have loose or damaged vacume hoses.  Good thing to do in either case is pick up some zip strips from wallmart and use them to make tighter connections at the end of the hoses.  You should be able to pick up a large cannister of them with a number of different sizes for pretty cheep.

It's not broke... It's just.... Ok it's broke but I can fix it! Where's my duck tape?
