1990 B2200 fuel gauge not working

I just purchased a 1990 B2200 pick up. The fuel gauge does not work. What do I need to check?

Check the wires from the gauge. If that's not it, then it might be the fuel level sending unit. You can either drop the tank or pull the box to get to it.
It's not broke... It's just.... Ok it's broke but I can fix it! Where's my duck tape?
