after you turn the car off the blowers are stuck on, they won't turn off. How do I get these things to shutdown before it kills my battery

Your 'final stage unit' is shorted out- it's located behind the inboard kick panel, under the dash, on the passenger side. It's the electric plug that's closest to the firewall. You know you've found it, as it will be quite hot.

These have a lot of problems, so it's easy for a shop to replace.

I think I have a similar problem.  I have noticed that the blower goes on and off even though I don't have the A/C on. 

Did you have to replace the blower?
