My husband traded his vehicle for one from a dealer approximately 3 weeks ago. Three days after purchase he found that the passenger seat was broken and when he took it back to the dealer, he was told that he would have to pay half the cost of a new seat so he did. This weekend he found out that the heater was not working properly, the weather had not been cold enough to test out the ability of the heater to warm the vehicle, and he found out that the heater did not work properly. Today he took the vehicle back to the dealer to find out what the problem was and there was some type of "door" in the system that was not working and in order to get it fixed he again had to pay half of the charge to fix it. Is the dealer not responsible for any defects? He was told by one of the dealer's employees that the seat problem should have been found in the pre-sale check and fixed. Is there anything that can be done regarding this dealer's not being responsible for items that were wrong before purchase but not pointed out to the buyer?
