I have a 2004 Corvette that has around 48500 miles on it, I just bought it used and here in Chicago this winter it has been pretty cold. I drive the car daily, when it starts. I am a female and do not know anything about cars so bear with me. My problem is that every morning for the last 3 weeks I get in the car and turn over the engine and it just cranks. I tried something and it seems to some times work and that is pumping the gas pedal while I crank it. I usually have to pump it alot for about 3 or 4 minutes before it starts. If I don't pump the gas it will not start. A friend told me that I am flooding it by pumping it, I don't think so, that is what makes it start. The rest of the day it is fine. This problem also happens if the car sits for a few days. Any ideas?
Thanks, Juile
