    Defroster

I have a 1994 Mazda B4000 manufactured by Ford.  My problem is this.  In the morning when my windows are fogged up I start my truck and then turn on the defroster.  I slide the temp lever over to the hottest setting.  Yesterday when I did that there was something like smoke coming out of the vents.  Now it wasn't smoke.  It smelled like hot water from the radiator.  My thermostate is working fine.  The truck isn't overheating and I haven't seen any water loss.  I did check it and it didn't take very much.  This morning I wiped the windows clear first thing.  Then I started the truck and turned on the defroster.  I coujld clearly see that this action only proved to make the windows foggy.

The only clue I can provide is that I do smell what I think is water from the radiator.  No water in site any place though.  I looked at the hoses and the water pump.  What do you think might be the issue?

    Thanks,

    James Graves
