    Re: New Lucerne

The new Buicks focus on luxury, design and performance. The Lucerne is no different. Sharing platforms with the Cadillac DTS, the Lucerne has the bloodline of a true luxury vehicle. The base Lucerne CX features GM's 3.8-liter-V6 that features 197 horsepower and 227 foot-pounds of torque. The top-of-the-line Lucerne CXS features the 275-horsepower 4.6-liter Northstar V8 which offers 295 foot-pounds of torque. In 2006, the Lucerne replaced the LeSabre and the Park Avenue. Being bigger, more powerful and more luxurious, the new Lucerne sold almost 100,000 units in its first model year. The highlight of the Lucerne is GM's Magnetic Ride Control which was first introduced on the Cadillac XLR roadster. The optional Magnetic Ride Control system offers fast reaction to road and driving conditions that offers a ride quality that can change from smooth and compliant to firm and responsive.
