    1997 crown vic a/c problem

I have refrigerant and the car a/c won't cool.  The clutch is not stuck, we jumped the relay and the clutch engaged and the air worked.  What can be the problem? Help if you can.

a/c clutch relay -- pressure switch -- low on freon -- control panel -- does the  coolant fan come on when you turn on the a/c ??

do you have atc ?    automatic  temp  control..

When you jump comp. to on make sure youre press low side 30 - 40 hi side 250 - 275 because you have low and hi press. switch and if to hi will shut off clutch same as if to low it will shut off clutch. Fred the aircraft guy.
