help loud noise when driving

hi i have a 1005 chevy lumina and i just notice about 2weeks ago a loud noise like a tapping sound somes when i drive it gets worse but then it just goes away like it was never there i checked oil it's full but coolant was a little low. please help i don't know what this could be any ideas?

This is on the timing belt and timing gears and water pump read your owners manuel it says replace timing belt and so on at 60,000 miles believe me do it or else the belt will bust and it will bent valves and if you didn't replace gears there going to shell out all this happen to my buddy so while your there doing the work you should replace water pump because it's going to give out as well. So lesson that he learned always follow what the owners manuel say on these little cars he dropped a lot of money on it he should have did what the manuel said head work is not cheap.

04 aveo alarm

I have an 04 aveo about a week ago the alarm started to go off randomly. And once when I parked and opened the car door it went off!

The dealership wants $100 just to look at it. I don't want to pay that much and was told the repair manual isn't out for this model...

Any ideas? I'm kinda handy and have a few friends that could help me... if all else fails, is there a way to disable the alarm?

Heater Fan or Something Else?

I have a 1996 chevy corssica with a 6 cylinder; all of a sudden hen I turn on my heater/air conditioner or defroster no air comes out. I don't even feel any warm air by the vents. Could it possibly be a fuse or does it sound like a fan or thernostat or something else? Please advise. Thank you.

Starts hard ?

We have a 1997 Chevy Astro van, And it sometimes starts. Is there a 7th. injecter?(like the old chokes) Has been worst since it been cooler. We can start it with starting fluid. But it doesn`t seem to run very well. Help 1 Thanks,

1997 Geo Metro - Fan Switch Replacement

I've got 206,000 miles on my GEO and the switch finally went! I am just looking for a clearcut easy way to replace the switch, my main problem is that I don't know where the fan actually is and how to get it done without breaking into the dashboard because it is not easily accessable. Any quick answer would be appreciated! (By one who actually know, please)

i have a 78 k10 350 manual that i go out and start 5-8 min. before i leave and what I'm havening trouble with is that when i leave and I'm driving down the road it starts backfiring constantly and i have no power but after 20 min of driving or so it stops and starts running better and i have know idea what it could be

i have put 2 of the 134a cans in it but i still dont have any cold air.

2004 aveo stalling

Son has a 2004 aveo. Last week check engine light came on and the car started to stall (while in motion). Check plugs/wire, found 2 that were arcing, changed all (thought this was the problem, but no).

Car runs better but still stalls.

I will be changing the fuel filter, but it really does not seem to be the problem as the car does start up again after a few turns of the key.

Any thoughts/ideas to help?

truck dies while driving

I have a 98 chevy 3/4 ton pickup that just dies while driving at anytime. I noticed the gauges will bounce and then it will reset the clock on the radio like I lost all electrical. It died once at low speed and I had no power ( like the truck was getting no electricity from the battery) for about 10 seconds then just as quick I started it up and it ran fine all the way home. It does it hot or cold. Thanks krhood

vibration problem

I have a 2004 Chevy Aveo when i take off in drive and get up about 10 miles mph there a vibration and when the transmission shifts it stops and returns with the next speed which is about say 25 mph and it goes on When I get on the freeway it does the same thing but while I am at 65 it is a steady vibration and does not go away until I am at about 73 mph I have taking it to the dealer and they say that they don't know what it is, They say it could be the tires but i bought new tires, I told them that the vibration was in the car when i bopught it and before i bought the new tires I really need some help on this can any body help out there.
