Front end noise

I have replaced the lower arms, struts and mounds on my 2000 DTS and it still has a creaking sound coming from the front end. I have spent over 4K already

2004 Deville iPod wire-in options

I'm wanting to wire-in my ipod to my Cadillac but I'm not sure what the options are. It appears there is an option for installing satellite radio (i can currently listen to a couple free information channels), is it possible to use that source for an RCA plug-in? I've never taken my stereo out so I have no clue what it looks like back there, any info would help. Thanks!

2000 DTS Sunvisors

The upholster on the sunvisors are sagging. Visors have illuminated mirrors. Is there a fix without buying two new visors for approximately $300?

Cruise contol went out and I can not find a bad fuse. I recently dicconected rear air ride and installed coil over shocks from Suncore industries on. If that makes any deferance?. Don

Cadillac DHS DTC Codes

I have a 2001 DHS. It has just over 100k miles. I recently have been receiving DTC codes P0171 & P0174. I took apart the whole air induction system and cleaned it, including cleaning the MAP sensor with brake cleaner. The codes came back and now I have two other new codes, U1016 and P0101. The symptoms are when the engine is warm and/or the fuel level is low it will not idle. It idles from 500 to 1200 rpm up and down. Thanks, bluechevellekev

Update: It seems to be getting worse. It does it more often now and the last time I drove it, when I put it in park the engine rev'd to 2k and climbed to 3k. I shut it off and restarted and the idle went to 2k. I called a shop a couple of buddies have used and going to bite the bullet and get it fixed.

Update: I took it the shop and found out that it has a major vacuum leak on the rear side of the plenum. The shop couldn't work on it for a week or so, so I'm going to replace the seals myself. If this works out to be the problem then I'm going to be pretty impressed with the shop because then didn't charge me for the I&R.

1995 cadillac sedan deville brake problem

my brakes will pump up but they will not hold the presure as i hold them down. i am not losing any brake fluid. and i do seem to hear a clicking sound under the dashboard just above the brake pedal.

Hello,

Steve here. I replaced the MAP sensor over a month ago after getting a code for the sensor, car has run great for about 3,000 miles since. Today, engine idles fast, making initial shifting hard. Getting codes for P0106 and P0122............Map system performance, and TPS circuit low voltage. What do I do. Seemed replacing the MAP sensor did the trick before, hard to believe the new one went out, especially when getting another code for TPS circuit low voltage. I don't know where that sensor is yet, found the MAP sensor by replacement part number matching what was in the car.

Going to mention, just in case it might somehow matter, that earlier today the car was hit by a bird just below the right headlight, small piece of front bumper cover broke just below the headlight.

I would appreciate some direction in resolving the problem.

What is wrong? anyone else experience this? I can not afford to [pay for several items changed and still a problem it like to shut off at lights but not all the time it feels like it is coughing i keep ver up to date with oil changes and belts and tune-ups etc please help jackie 305-934-5274

2000 Cadillac DeVille - Check gas cap warning

Check gas cap warning showed up on display and a short time later the check engine light came on. The cap looks good and I have tried taking the cap off and putting back on again but the warning reappears again after I reset display. Any ideas what the problem could be? Also is there a way too reset check engine light on this year of Cadillac without using a code reader?

Engine Rebuild

My 2000 Cadillac DTS started burning oil at 55,000 miles. The dealer said the rings were shot and to replace them and new pistons would cost me $6500.00. Is this a fair price? I had the work done at 58,000 miles and paid the bill. When I had the car in for its 60,000 mile sevice they charged for a full service as if the engine had 60,000 miles on it. (Another $450.00). And just yesterday, at the 63,000 mile service, I was told I needed a new serpentine belt. Shouldn't this have been replaced as part of the engine work? I guess I'm looking for a third party opinion that has expertise in these matters. Can you answer these three questions for me?

2001 Deville cd player keeps reading error code

My cd player is reading cd error when I put a cd in.Usually it will say cd initializing,but it is not saying that unless I press the scan button.Then all it does is say cd error.

1996 Deville Concourse A/C turns off

After driving at highway speed for 10 or more miles with A/C on, when slowing down A/C turns off, resurculate light comes on, idle speed goes up to 1500 rpms. The only way to rset is to turn engine off and on. The system returns to normal immediatly until driving at highway speeds and slowing down when A/C again fails. Problem has be occurring for over 2 years and service has not been able to identify source, not error codes but occasionally service idle control system while be displayed.[:'(]

1996 Concours Power Steering Pump

My power steering pump is on its last leg in my 1996 Deville Concours. I know there is some time and labor in replacing it with a rebuilt pump, but is this something that could be done DIY at home? I know I can save quite a bit in labor expense by doing it myself.

I am a recent widow and need help finding the repair code meanings for my 1992 Cadillac Deville. The "Service Engine Soon" light has been on for several weeks. I had my mechanic check it with a machine and he said that code 85 turns up, but he doesn't have the code book for that year of cadillac. I would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you in advance.

ok this is the closest thing i can find i have a 1987 cadallac sedan deville it has a sound coming from the motor like a ricker arm is lose i was told by a mecanic to take off the head and losen all the rocker arms and turn the car over and tighted each one down slowly till no more tick of the rocker arm i need to know if taking this route will mess anything up i have the knowladge to know what im doing under any hood but im confused and a lil afraid that i will mess something up please help
