It's better if you return it to the dealer and explain to them what is happening. If they can't give you a better excuse, ask them to explain how the seats work so you can look into it yourself (if they won't bother replacing them).

________________________

The things you can find in an autopartswarehouse.

Air Conditioned Seats.

I have a new ( 4 months old ) 2008 Lucerne 4-holer. For the most part, I love it, but I have one problem. The air conditioned sets don't work like I think they should. Usually when turned on to the "high" position (either front seat ), only the bottom cushion cools. On occasion when the seats are turned on, you hear what sounds like a fan motor and the backs cool. Even on the occasions when the backs cool, it is NEVER as much cooling as the seat bottom. Took it to the dealer and was told the seat backs worked properly when checked out. Just the other day, with the wife on board, we both fired up our respective seats and waited to see if the back would cool. After a short time, my wife said, "I think the back is getting warmer". About that time I realized that my seat back was considerably warmer than the surrounding material. We both shut off the seat cooling immediately. That has happened only once, but that was enough to scare me. The other thing that I've noticed is when the seats are on Max cool and I reduce it to the lowest cooling setting, the seats on some occasions appear to get even cooler and I end up turning them off. Is anyone else experiencing this, and have you had it repaired successfully ? If so, how ? Does anyone know where I can get hold of a Theory of Operations on these seats ?

Retired
