Before I have to bring it into a specialist, does anyone have any idea what else could be the problem?

odometer and trip mileage pixels dont all light up

Can someone help me on my 1997 BMW 740il? The odometer and the trip mileage dont light up completly along with the radio readout and temp setting on the heater a/c controls. At times they will all work fine then next time they will be hard to read because only part of the pixels will be working. Something must be controlling all three items because they work good in unison or all three will act up at the same time.

                                                                                           Thanks Rudy B.

WATER PUMP

how do I replace a water pump on a BMW 740IL ?

keywords: bmw 7-series, new bmw's, bmw lineup

Whistle on acceleration

98 740i i get a whisle (almost like a jet engine roar) when accelerating at times but not always. Any ideas.

keywords: bmw 7-series, new bmw's, bmw lineup

1997 BMW 740i Dashboard Indicators

When I bought the car two weeks ago, everything worked great. Two days later, I noticed the indicator lights for the turn signals, head light indicator, high beam and 4 ways did not work. After the car got hot, the indicator lights worked. Now they don't work at all. The lights do work outside the car. I also discovered the reverse lights outside the car don't work now. Thier are no check bulb warnings or check engine warnings. Is it a relay problem? Or possible a short?

keywords: bmw 7-series, new bmw's, bmw lineup
