I'm currently looking at two 745LI's (2002 and 2003). Both are one owner cars with less than 40k miles and verified through maintenance and Carfax records. Are there particular repair or recall issues I should know prior to making a decision?

Bought a BTUM, module only, off of eBay for my '03 745i (replacing the MOTO V60). Can't get it to work (no light, etc...). I believe the problem is the BTUM requires a special spacer.

Anyone else run into this issue? Is this the fix?

1996 BMW 750il won't start for misterious reasons

Has anyone had similar problems where your 750il won't turn over but the battery is fine. Then in 30 minutes, no problem. Dealer and other's can't figure out. Not set particulars related to the car not starting. I think it has something to do with the security. It does kill keys eventually.

Any body else had a similar problem and possible solutions.

I have a 1999Bmw 740i series. It's a great vehicle and has not given me any problems. That is until last night. I discovered my trunk lid closes but does not completely latch. I changed the fuse but it still does not close. I tried pushing the trunk lid button inside but it does not open the trunk. To open the trunk, I must use the key. What seems to be the problem?

my 02 745i recently had brake pads installed.i bought 4 sensors 2 for the front 2 for the rear,the mechanic said he only needed 1 on the front and the rear.the brake pad sensor light in the car still hasnt went out what could be wrong.

Power trunk assist not working

Recently my battery died. The last thing I did before I unlocked the doors, was to open the trunk. The power assist worked from my remote control. But after I got in and tried to start the car the battery died and I called for a boost. Now the inside button does not work and neither does my key and the Power assist does not work. Also now the "Trunklid Open" message appears on my message console.

Is there a fuse or something I should check. I cant find one for the power assist and unlock of the trunk.

Transmission Program 1992 735i

I've had issues for the past few weeks in regards to the 735i dropping into transmission program about 90% of the time. This is basically a safe control mode that keeps the car in 3rd gear only. When not in this state the transmission works fine. I've replaced the A/M switch and the transmission control unit, that found in the passenger side kick plate. Before I have to bring it into a specialist, does anyone have any idea what else could be the problem?

odometer and trip mileage pixels dont all light up

Can someone help me on my 1997 BMW 740il? The odometer and the trip mileage dont light up completly along with the radio readout and temp setting on the heater a/c controls. At times they will all work fine then next time they will be hard to read because only part of the pixels will be working. Something must be controlling all three items because they work good in unison or all three will act up at the same time.

1997 BMW 740i Dashboard Indicators

When I bought the car two weeks ago, everything worked great. Two days later, I noticed the indicator lights for the turn signals, head light indicator, high beam and 4 ways did not work. After the car got hot, the indicator lights worked. Now they don't work at all. The lights do work outside the car. I also discovered the reverse lights outside the car don't work now. Thier are no check bulb warnings or check engine warnings. Is it a relay problem? Or possible a short?
