528 e coolant sensor

I replaced the sensor in the resevoir tank..but the light continues to stay on....what are my options...

I have a "clicking" sound, very loud, and a rumbling sound when I accelerate. I appears to be a driveshaft problem.

How miuch does it costs to replace the driveshaft in a 2000 528i?

I have been away for two years and my car laid undriven for a year and a half. I just got back and started her up. It was a rough start but when it finally started up It was idling smoothly, but underneath the car it was pouring out gasoline. What is wrong?

Thinking about buying a used 540i

Good Morning, I'm considering buying a used 540i as a daily driver. I currently own several vehicles and a motorcycle and am going to retire my 99 Ford Contour SVT that has become a little too needy. Its not only the money its the too frequent trips to the service shop.

I am looking at a 2002 540i Sport Package with automatic transmission, 59,000 miles. I'm just curious about model year or mileage issues with this car. Thanks in advacne for any information. The owner is asking $ 25,995 US.

Can you clean the meter if so how and if you have to replace the air flow meter do you need to reset the computer .

545/550 misfires

I had a 2005 545 and now have a 2007 550 both cars have horible problems in cold weather with misfires to the extent I have had both cars towed into BMW. I can't get anyone to admit the valve timing issue is a problen with the V8 engine! Anyone have any ideas??

My 1987 535i makes a very loud continous noise when it is cold and I shift into 1st gear.

This just started yesterday and when it is making the noise, I can feel it under my feet. When I shift into 2^nd gear the noise is much less, as the car warms up the noise stops but this takes a long time. Any ideas what this could be? I am a new owner of this car and I want to take care of it.

This light came on and when I push the button it will not go off. Is there any way I can fix or reset this without taking it to a dealer? The car has 99M miles on it.

1995 BMW 530i 215,000 miles when i am driving the car runs to good when i am going up a hill it struggles but if i stop on a hill and push the gas the car does not move please help thanks

oil in intake and airfilter, checked the antifreeze and that is clear of oil, but the car is running rough.

at idle the car runs fine. tune-up was done ( cap rotor plugs etc.. ) the problem is when it gets to a higher rpm under load

it seems to starve for fuel and wants to stall ; but when this happens and i hold the clutch back in it goes to perfect idle.

please help i'm at my whits end.

BMW540i gas tank locking fuel door

Door intermitently will not unlock after I go to get gas. Has happened twice so far. When I use the manual release, the door unlatches and then seems to respond properly to the remote key lock. Have removed and re-installed relay in right trunk for remote lock/unlock. All other remote lock/unlocks work. i.e. doors, trunk lid.

Car overheats when in slow moving traffic.

I have a 1998 BMW 528i. with 90,000 miles. I recently had the thermostat replaced along with the thermostat housing and fan clutch. I had the radiator flushed last year. When I'm in stop and go traffic the gauge will steadily move into red. Once I traffic starts flowing and I can drive without constantly stopping, the gauge moves back to normal. At this point I don't know what else to have checked/replaced.

2001 525i Problem with blower

The blower of 2001 525i occasionally stays on when I turn off my car, and it drains my battery. It does not happen all the time, but like once or twice a month. Also have noticed that when I am driving the blower turns off when I have the AC on. Then I would have to turn off the AC for a few seconds and then turn it back on and it will start working again. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this problem? Thanks

have replaced o2 sensor mass air flow meter fuel filters only way car will run if strater fluid is sprayed directly into throttle body. pulled fuel line no gas?
