I have a unique question or proposal. My company has an Idea for a retired couple who might be traveling the country in retirement. I have a new product that has found a lot of success in the auto dealership market and many others. The product is unique, exciting to sell, and GM's love the product at every store we stop at.

The idea is to have a retired individual or couple who would like to supplement there retirement by stopping into dealership's here and there with a marketing package and selling the product on there own schedule. If they want to stop they do and if not they don't. Pretty simple. If they sell a project once a week or once a month depends on them. The benefit to us is that we cannot financially drive to every city in the U.S, so we end up with a market penetration that we might not otherwise have.

We have installed thousands of units in a two year period, and we have a huge untouched market. Like I mentioned before the product is easy to talk about and is exciting to sell. Assistance in getting an FFA ag science Truck

Hi, I am an Ag teacher in Blanket Texas, a small 6-man school in Brown county. My superintendent of schools has told me to see what I could find for prices and options for a new Ag truck and trailer to match. He wants to stay on the very cheap side of things and I am doing my research to see what kinds of options are out their. I need a 4 door truck to haul my students around the community after school checking on and assisting with their animal projects. For which we need a trailer sometimes.

I bought a Jetta about 10 years ago when I lived in Colorado, and it is with me in Mexico right now. I would like to go to Texas and trade it in for a new car, but I am doubtful about whether or not this will be possible since my current residence is not in the U.S. Is it possible for me to receive a loan to buy a car in Texas even though I am earning my salary in Mexico and my bank accounts are here as well? I don't currently have a car, so no insurrance. I have heard you can get insurrance to drive the car back (24 hour thing or what-not)... also someone mentionned the liscence plate itself needs to be attached, but because it's a weekend, I'm wonderin if there's a way I can get out of that too...

Any advice?

Buying a used car from a Dealership

I was wondering if you could give some comment/ input on my process of buying a used car that I am currently involved in?

- The car was found on the internet with internet pricing - local dealer that allowed me to come and test drive the car. Car is clean, there are some surface scratches on the finish (hey it is a used car!) and one minor stain on one of the seats. The car wouldn't start right away. They said the battery was dead and they had to jump start it. Once it was started it ran very well.

- Pulled the carfax report on the vehicle and nothing shows up

- the car is a 2003 with fairly low miles on it <30k

The internet price for the vehicle before tax, dealer prep (500.00) and processing fee (20.00) was 12,990. He has relisted the vehicle a second time

for lack of bids the first time around.

I tried to offer a inclusive total drive out price but he would not accept that so I offered 11K cash because of the following reasoning

guessitmate on the trade in value was about 10k, 500.00 known profit I would be willing to give, 500 dealer prep profit = 11k

He countered with 12,899. I declined. He wants to talk to me later today. Where do I go from here? The max I can afford is 12k taking into account all the extra fees that will be added to that.

I have a 2004 Toyota Prerunner that I need to sell very fast. It has drained my account dry. My ex husband left me holding the bag (or loan) on the truck; promising me that he would not do this. Obviously I did a stupid thing and co-signed for him. That was one of the dumbest things I've ever done, however, I believed him. I have spend over 10k on these payments, insurance, taxes, etc over the last year on this vehicle. It's a long story, but I really need to get rid of this truck. I have my car payment as well, plus insurance, taxes, etc. I own my house, or the bank does and I'm paying them and only make so much. I use to have some savings after being hurt in auto wreck and now I have none due to his payments (and he signed a note saying he would be responsible for all payments, taxes, etc). We got back together after our divorce as I am very ill; been diagnosed w/disease and am still working full time against my docs recommendation. I was relying on my savings to hold me over until seeing about disability. Now I have nothing but 2 car payments and am broke! What would you suggest? I still owe 16k on truck and dealers don't want to give me but 13k. It's in excellent condition and I have it advertised in carolina trader and craigslist. Please help...

Not informed beforehand about Dealer's "Pre-delivery Service Charge"

My husband and I just purchased a used car from the local Mercedes Dealer on Saturday. After agreeing upon a price, he said that there would be "plus plus plus" charges such as taxes and tag costs. We agreed, verbally. THEN, when he presented us with the offer form to sign, there was a preprinted section for $599 with a description which said, "This charge represents costs and profit to the seller for items such as inspecting, cleaning, and adjusting vehicles and preparing documents relayed to the sale." We didn't say anything at the time but we felt "ambushed," although we went ahead and bought the car. Still, we went home feeling angry that he had not told us about this"pre-delivery service charge" beforehand but waited until after we'd agreed on the price. When he called today to ask if we were happy with everything, I questioned hm about this charge and he said this was a standard charge for all the vehicles they sold, new and used, and it was non-negotiable. I said we should have been told about this charge prior to us making an offer, since there was no mention of it on the price tag pasted on the car's windshield and he did not mention it when he said "plus plus plus." He acted very offended and asked if I felt he was deceitful and I said, "Yes. It might have changed what we offered." He said we would have ended up at the same number. I said that might have been the case but I would have like to have been informed of ALL costs above and beyond the purchase price (not just taxes and tag). He said in his 30+ years in the business NO ONE had ever questioned this charge and he had never disclosed it and no salesman he knew disclosed it, that "everyone knows there are fixed dealer fees associated with a sale that buyers must pay." I told him the omission of these charges left a bad taste in our mouths after what would have been an otherwise very pleasant transaction.

Is he right about this? Am I wrong to feel as if we should have been informed? And are these fees the norm? Why aren't they simply part of the price of doing business?

Cloudiness spots in paint

I recently purchased a 2008 copper mica red Mazda Miata. There are some small cloudy spots (1/16" to one up to 1/4" in diameter). The dealership said it came from when it was shipped and that moisture had gotten between the protective layer and the paint. The took it to a paint shop where they put it under their curing lamps and some of the spots disaperared, but some very small ones remain. They said next step would be to repaint. A regional rep is coming to talk with me about the tiny spots. From 3 feet away, you can't see them... but closer there are some still present. Have you heard of this problem before? I'm concerned about what might happen 3 years from now when off warrenty and rust or other problems develop. Any thoughts??? I know I won't go for a repaint! Zmiata

I want to know how to find out about driver's seat space and surrounding the driver's seat... I am a large woman and have bad knees, I am about 5'5 and want my head space... how do I know which vehicle will give me more of each of these... I have looked at Ford Escape, Subaru Forester, Saturn Vue, Mazda Tribute, Ford Camry, PT Cruiser, and currently drive a V6 Plymouth Voyager and AM very comfortable in it, but I am looking for something a bit smaller but the same comfort as my current van... any suggestions from anyone... thank you so much

Having a little of buyer's remorse, Bought new truck which will be delivered on Tues. I am getting the new truck in my name only but wife is on the trade-in truck and was not there to sign anything on trading it off. I still want the new truck but like to back out of the trade-in and keep it as well. Also this will be financed by the same company and if I dont trade in I assume it may affect my credit and financing on the new truck and thus have to rework the new deal. My quote on this truck was $44K something last week and they had to find the truck, they found the truck had me come in to sign and decide on assesories while never was price brought up again. On assessories I decided on $1400 less of options than the original quote and when I signed the contract the price had actually went up $1700 instead of down $1400 and since it wasn't ever discussed I really didn't know until I was siging the contract. I added on larger tires and wheels and I would like to keep the stock wheels and tires as well is that possible. So, Can we back out of the trade-in part? Thanks Wes

Aug 2006 I purchased a BRAND NEW Saturn ION

the salesman gave me the VIN NUMBER so I could go ahead and get my Insurance and pick the car up the next day

after about a month I rec'd two ID'S for my ONStar one had the VIN the rep gave me the other had a completely different VIN....... I went out to my car to double check and sure enough I TOOK DELIVERY OF A CAR WHOSE VIN WAS NOT THE SAME AS THE SALESMAN TOLD ME.............does this happen often or should I suspect I bought a car which was not "NEW" ??????????????????????????
