My car won't start at all. I have juice in the battery, the alternator works fine, the starter kicks off, I also checked the ignition switch part under the steering column and that works fine. The day before it wouldn't start, it worked just fine. I had a new system installed sometime ago (dvd) and it has this switch that goes on and off. Well the last thing I can remember before the problem existed is that i forgot to turn the switch off and then the next morning the car wouldn't start at all. i thought that had something to do with it, so I called the technician hoping it was the problem, but he said it wasn't because it isn't connected anyway to the ignition switch or engine. the last thing that auto zone suggested was that it could be the car alarm. To disconnect it and see if that would turn on. The alarm still goes off and on when i click the remote. However, I did notice while turning the key to turn and start the engine, apart from all the lights turning on the dashboard the only ones that stayed on was the "security" and "check engine" lights. Please can you provide your expertise on helping me find the connection to the alarm. It is a manufacture alarm, so auto zone couldn't find it for me OR help me troubleshoot other possible suggestions on why my car won't start. Oh, I also did make sure that the emergency brakes are not on while turning the ignition on, plus I did check all the fuses and they are fine. I have a 2002-z28 -v8, if this information is necessary.

Thank you and God bless you for your expertise.

Bonnie
