2006 Odyssey

Our 2006 Odyssey with 74,000 has a cracked head they(honda america) think. We did all our oil changes as scheduled and also all pm services.

Has any one else had this happen to them, Also extended warrenty (3rd party)does not cover this because it is not a moveable part, which is non-sense and I will be fighting that. Has anyone esle had insurance problems.

2006 Odessey Engine Knock

Has anyone had any issues with an engine knock? I have an '06 Odessey with 52,000+ miles, regularly serviced. Engine is 3.5i vtec. Engine has started a knock that sounds as though it cam or valve related. Knock is coming from upper "v' of the engine and knock fluctuates with the engine rev. Any ideas/suggestions?? Thanks

Honda Odyssey dvd problem

I have a Honda odyssey and the battery died. I got a new battery and the radio code came up brought it in to e service and they reset radio code, but the DVD player now does not work. There is a little green light on the Dvd player that says "dvd in" even though there is nothing in there. Could this be a simple fix?

'99 odyssey engine quits intermitently

Engine quit while decelerating on an exit ramp from driving 55 mph. No engine light iluminated. Restarted right away, with no further problems for the rest of the night. Also restarted fine after stopping and parking for an errand. Any ideas?

water from AC coming into van

I have a 99 Odyssey and have had no AC problems until today. My wife was driving and said she thought she heard water sloshing. Then she noticed water coming into the van on both sides of the console. She had the recirculate switch on and she turned that off but kept the AC on. The water seemed to stop but when she turned off the interstate, the water ran down by the console again. Also, don't know if related but the compressor seems to have gotten real noisy lately.

2000 Honda Odyssey Door Latch Access

The door latch on the second door (sliding door) on the driver side broke while trying to break the ice free. I picked up a new latch assembly from the dealer. Now how do I access the assembly are to remove the old assembly and in stall the new one. Don't I need to pull off one of the inside door panels, and how do I do that?

I have an odyssey van 2005 . we inserted a cd player from overseas into the odyssey cd player. the cd played well, but the cd player won't eject it. also, the cd player will not play!

pressing the cd button will not activate the cd at all. i think the cd is jammed. the user manual has a warning, not to use cd's with a sticky label. is this what might have happened? how do i remove the cd from the player?

if i have to remove the cd player, can some one tell me how? or do i have to take it to the dealer?

please help?

A roar and a vibration

I just bought a 2007 Oydessy. Love the car except for ONE thing. As I'm driving I barely depress the accellerator and I get a loud roar with a vibration in the steering wheel and the floorboard. This is driving me nuts. I took it back to the dealer and the Service Manager drove it and said it drives like all the mini-vans. WELL I HOPE NOT!!!! I have been to a Honda forum on here and there is a lot of people complaing about this. It is appearing on many of the year model Oydessy's.

Water Pump

When I made an appt for 105,000 mile checkup the Honda Service dept. said they need to replace the water pump, compressor belt etc. at this checkup (without inspecting the vehicle first) because if the water pump should go out it would wreck the engine. So $700 later I am wondering if this was true.

2004 Honda Odyssey trailer hitch

Last week my 18 yr old was pulling out of a parking lot (while traffic was STOPPED for a red light!) just as he was turning his wheels to make a left turn an on coming car going 15 MPH hit the driver side passenger sliding door. Good news NO ONE was at all hurt! Bad news...it TOTALED the car! Looked like a easy dent to repair! Unfortunately the impact happened at the rail. The floor buckled and CRACKED through from behind driver seat to last bench. We had the factory installed hitch on the car when we bought it. It was NEVER used. The collision center let us have it thinking that we could use it on our Toyota Sienna. Doesn't work quite that easily!!!! So, any idea how I could find out best way to sell/ship it so that it still remains cost effective...and get it OFF my garage floor???

Odyssey timing belt auto-tensioner

The timing belt auto tensioner on my 01' Odyssey is not like what is pictured in the Chilton manual. This one has no obvious adjustment, nor is it obvious how it even works. I can get the new belt on along with the old tensioner, and everything looks good and tight. Does anyone know how this thing is supposed to work, and if I can use the old one in this belt-replacement project?
