I get a random bucking, like a hiccup, when there is snow in the air. Regardless of whether the engine is warm or cold, under load or coasting. Runs fine in warm weather or cold, except when the snow flies here in Vermont. Bucking is random and may occur a couple of times a minute or a little as every 5-10 miles. Been to the dealer and no computer codes are found. Reflashed the memory just in case but to no avail. Take it to a shop and it runs fine. They would have to live with it for a while and wait until a snowfall. Even then no check engine light has ever come on. Been going on for 3 winters now, sure would like some idea of what to look for.
Codes P0171 and P0174

2003 Ranger 4.0 liter 5 year extended warranty expired on 12/30/07 and now check engine light on with codes P0171 and P0174. Had the valve body cleaned. Checked and cleaned the vacuum line going to the modulator valve. It will shift out of 1st gear within a few minutes after being started but once it warms up I have to let off the gas for it to shift. Air temperature does seem to effect how quickly it will stop shifting correctly. Thanks for any ideas!!!

2004 ford ranger fuel pump replacement

I have a 2004 ford ranger supercab 4.0 4x4.
