I recently purchased the subject vehicle. It has high mileage 180k. The yellow oil warning light comes on after driving a short distance and goes off within 30 seconds. The oil level is fine. Any ideas why the warning lights comes on?

My 05 Liberty pulls the left when I accelerate an to the right when I decelerate, it is also squirrely when I go over a bump at over 40 mph. Has new tires and alignment.

1998 f-150 not going into 4wd

I just bought a 98 f-150 and it will not go into 4wd. It has the pushbutton controls. When you hit the button for 4 wd the piston at the front differential will not move. I think it's not getting vacuum to this cylinder( the cylinder has been replace). What would cause it not to work? Chris

Hello everybody, I have a problem with my neon. The clutch cable broke when driving to work. I got the car home ok. I ordered a new cable from the dealer near me and installed it. When I went to test drive it, the clutch will not release enough to put it in gear. The part numbers on the old cable and new one are the same. Any clues??

My '99 JXI convertible theft alarm does not disarm per the owner's manual. The OM directs opening the door with either the remote keyless entry or the key. The trunk release in the glove box sometimes works when I use this methoid and sometimes doesn't.

Stalling in reverse when cold

I have an 03 dakota quad cab, 3.9, automatic, 4x4. It runs ruff and stalls when put in reverse gear when cold. When it warms up all is fine. There is no check engine code when this happens. Dealer has replaced O2 sensor, IAC motor and even the rad (possible tranny fluid restriction), still have same problem. I am going to get the tranny fluid changed because previous owner had tranny rebuilt and on a hunch, maybe non OEM fluid oil was used. Has anyone out there ever encountered such a problem? If so, please elaborate.

Is an '03 R/T engine compatible in a '99 SLT?

I am wondering if the 1999 SLT model is compatible with the 2003 R/T model? They are the same body style.

Basically, I am wondering if a salvaged 2003 will be a good donor vehicle for a 1999 model. Are these 2 vehicle compatible for engine/tranny/suspension swap since they are the same body style? The 2003 has the 5.9 R/T engine, and the 1999 currently has a 5.7L (or 5.2?)...whatever the 318 is. Basically, I would want to upgrade from the 318 to the 360. Is this a "bolt right in" option? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Air Bag warning light

I am having a problem with my Air Bag warning light coming on when I brake or turn left. I had a problem with a short on the hazard warning light switch shorting and causing this problem but my local Chrysler agent sent the switch assembly back to Milton Keynes for repair. It worked OK for 3 weeks but I have this problem now. Has anyone had a similar problem and what was the solution?

2007 MDX Leather Seats

The vinyl portion on the driver’s side seatback has cracked and begun to delaminate and peel from the backing for the third time. It should be noted that this is in an area where it is impossible not to rub one’s backside against when getting into the vehicle. I first noticed this at around 20,000 miles; the dealer replaced the seatback. Less than 10,000 miles later the same damage occurred. The dealer again replaced the seatback. Then again at about 40,000 miles my third seatback delaminated and began to peel. This time the dealer and factory rep refused to acknowledge this as a valid warranty item, claiming that this was “normal’ wear brought on by sliding into the seat (How else does one get into a car seat?).

I should point out that I am an average size person (5’8”, 174 lbs). This is not a work vehicle and the clothing I wear is not rough or abrasive; consequently there was nothing unusual which might cause excessive wear. Additionally, I also own a 2005 Acura TL, which I drive regularly which shows no signs of this type of damage on its leather seats.

The peeling vinyl is extremely thin which negatively impacts durability. Additionally, the thickness of the vinyl plus its laminated fabric backing feels considerably thinner than the leather on the seating surfaces. As a retired engineer I am acutely aware of some of the cost savings initiatives which manufacturers implement without adequate testing. I suspect that this is one of those cases. Who knows what else they have under designed?

Bottom line, I do not recommend anyone purchase leather seats with their new Acura. This MDX is the 4^th Acura I have owned, however given my latest experience, I do not intend to ever purchase another Acura product.

brake lights

this fall, my 2002 STS has an issue with the 3 brake lights that come on when starting up, they stay on up to 10 minutes and while on, I have no heated seats, no proper in car heating and lights. this is very intermitent and can happen at any time, and several times... any suggestions, have been to the Caddy shop and so far no luck either only $$$ for nothing

'95 Dodge tranny

It's been years since I've had anything done to the tranny on my '95 Dodge Ram 2500, but she's back on the road now! Can't remember about the filters...are there two? Is it true that the pan has to be dropped to change the filter? I just want to get some new fluid in there. Also, don't have my manual handy...does anyone know the right type fluid for this vehicle? Seems like it was type F, but I'm not sure. Am I right in NOT going to AAMCO for an overhaul? Had a bad experience there long time ago.

My 2003 forester xs issues a p0303 code. It intermittently runs a "little rough" on start up only. I have replaced the plugs and wires. I have checked the primary and 2ndry resistance on the ignition coil, as described by my Haynes manual. The 2ndry is within specs at 12.3K ohms for towers 1-2 and 3-4. Primary resistance does not register btwn 1-2 or 2-4. My questions are, can primary resitance of the ignition coil fail without affecting 2ndry, could some other problem (fuel injector) cause a p0303 code, should I replace the ignition coil?

is it safe to punch out catalytic converter??

My truck is a 1996 dodge ram I got a flowmaster series 40 muffler but it doesnt sound that great think my catalytic converter is plugged will it harm anything or set off codes if i just knock out the insides of my cat so it runs straight through. Thank you for your time
