you may not have any use for my reply BUT....I just had the same problem with my 99 RallySport Cavalier. My window would not move up or down, continuously. It would move only a 1/8th of an inch every 15 minutes or so.(at first ---then it stopped all together) Can't tell ya about the wires (sorry I wasn't present when my friend checked my switch for me) BUT.. it was the power window motor I needed.And if you find out that is what you need...Here's some information that may help......it doesnt matter which side needs replacing(driver or passenger), the motor works for both sides.I first called the dealership (Sacramento CA area) and was quoted $165. Then I called a wrecking yard/Used Parts dealer $75.00 Then I called a regular Auto Part Store (in my small town) ...$39.00 The motor is riveted to the door. And if your part is like mine, you'll first need to remove two of the rivets attached to the motor itself before you can attach it to the door. rs58
