I have a 1988 Cadillac Seville . While driving I hit my brake pedal  and the brake pedal was very hard to apply. The pedal was very high, like they are when you get a new brake job.I really had to bare down on the pedal in order to stop the car.This happen the first time yesterday.

When did you last have your brakes checked? There may be problems with your brake fluid level that needs to be checked immediately.
