    Resetting waring light

I have a 1998 328i which was made in Germany and purchased in Canada, I live in NJ. At present time I have a air bag light light on (faulty harnes replaced a year ago, a brake light on ( breakes replaced) and a check engine light the comes off and on. Is there a reliable scanner that allows me to read the codes, interpet, and reset lights (computer?

Of course there is such animal. You can go to any autozone and they will do that for free. The airbag light will only go off when you correct the problem that  it currently has. What color is your break light? What does it say? Does it say ABS and amber in color or does it display brake and red in color.Make sure you check your break fluid. You should have this break light diagnosed since it is a safety issue. Some times you can take your vehicle to a college that has an automotive programm and they will work on your car for FREE.Well hopefully that helped. The autozone code reader will only read codes for the check engine light.
