 I have a 1999 cadillac seville sts. 

 Prior to the steering wheel won't lock problem, I had replaced the outer tie-rod end ont the drivers side (front). When I completed installing a new tie-rod end, the steering wheel now won't lock into position after the key is removed.

 FYI, I also disconected the (-) neg. terminal on the batterry during the tie rod end replacement.

What should I do now?

Problems are totally unrelated. Steering wheel lock is a mechanical problem inside sfeering column related to broken lock pin or bad ignition switch.
