2004 MPV engine misses, engine warning light goes on

I seem to have a recurring problem.  The vehicle has ~ 60,000 miles.  It's raining, I stop at a gas station to fill up with gas.  Start up again, get on the freeway, and within 5 minutes/5 miles of having stopped at the gas station, the engine starts to miss and the engine warning light goes on.  The first time it happened, the repair shop said it was cylinder # 6, and replaced that spark plug and coil.  About a month/1000 mi later, same thing happened.  This time the repair shop said it was cylinder # 5, and that it was a loose coil wire, spark plug was OK.  Now it is 3 times...but a day later the car runs OK, but engine warning light is still on.  Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Mine had the same problem....MAZDA will not help at all. They know it's a flaw in the vehicle but will not stand behind their product. Mazda is more than happy to charge $250-360 per coil. Here is the solution go to your local auto parts store and purchase 6 new coils, 6 plugs and the gasket for the rear exhaust manifold.  Go home replace the front 3 plugs and coils this will take 15-30 minutes depending on your skill level. Then get quotes from local mechanics to do the rear plugs ,coils and gasket unless your a really good home mechanic it's a real pain to work on the back of the motor when your done the van will be set for the next 60-80k miles. I know this sounds bad but a Mazda dealer will do all this and it will easily be 2 to 3 times the cost.
