389, bored close to a 409, headers, ram air 4 cam, hei, 750 quadrajet.  problem is a hesitation just from idle.  when high idle is  on, car does not hesitate, but when choke is off and idle is normal, 900rpm, there is a hesitation.  i have replaced the acceleration pump twice, and nothing.  i have timed over and over. am going nuts. help!

you might want to let the manufacturer test or check your car.
they might be able to fix the issue.

Sounds like a vacuum leak.  Not sure what year it is but the vacuum actuator valve located on the front of the manifold might be suspect.  carb gasket could be leaking too.
