Hello all - recently my Audi began randomly reving as I was driving.  Other times it would seem somewhat unresponsive to the foot pedal.  I took it in to the Audi shop where they told me that I was leaking Transmission fluid and said something else about my Torque Converter.  The question I have is related to relativity of repairs.  As I fear spending 6000 dollars on replacing parts I am curious to those who know better if one most always replace a torque converter if it is causing a leak in Transmission fluid or if there are rings or seals that can be looked at as well?  if you have any info please email me at pcostein@yahoo.com

i myself had that problem i had to replace the whole tranny it is running ok but it is better to have an outside mechanic to look at it could be just the seal i was jeeped by the dealer because my warranty was expired.
