It knocks then calms down after 2-3 minutes.  I run mobile 1 10/30.  Should I try slick 50, or another oil additive?  Any ideas other than rebuilding the engine?

ck to see if the knock is on the top of the motor maybe a lifter is bad?

i don't think the additvies will help you may have to adjust the lifters or replace them
