It's a personal call. Some aftermarket warranties or dealer incentives (free tires for life) have a stipulation that requires you to have all service work done at the dealership you bought it from. I think its better to go to a dealership to build a personal rapport with the service department (a specific service advisor or the service manager) for any occasion you need warranty work or out-of-pocket service work. In the end, there is really no right or wrong answer.
