New land rover Cars
Originally the European equivalent of a Jeep, Land Rover is currently known for its mixture of capable off-road skills and upscale, luxury interiors. Land Rover made its official U.S. debut in 1987 with the Range Rover. In 2000, Ford Motor Company assumed ownership of Land Rover and is part of Ford’s Premier Automotive Group. Land Rover vehicles continue to be capable off-road vehicles but also fill certain niches. The Range Rover can ford through 28 inches of water, the Range Rover Sport features a 390-horsepower V8 and the upcoming LR2 mixes rugged capabilities with safety as it rides on the same chassis as the Volvo S80.
