The very first Corvette rolled off the assembly line in 1953. Since then, the Corvette has seen six distinct generations with the latest arriving in 2005. While not being an entirely new offering, the C6 Corvette is more powerful and more refined than the previous generation. New to the Corvette lineup is the return of the ZR1 nameplate with a supercharged, 6xx-horsepower V-8 packed under the hood. The Chevrolet Corvette comes with a five-year/100,000-mile powertrain and gets an estimated 20-26 mpg on the highway.
