A quick overview of who you are dealing with at the dealership

The Car Salesman

Three things you should consider about your car salesman.

  1. The car salesman works on commission…  He wants your business to pay his bills and feed his family, so understand that if he is too pushy, don't take it personally.
  2. If you treat the salesman with respect, there are often times that he will try to fight to get you a better deal. If you are rude or impatient, often times, you might get the same response back. We have tried to smooth the negotiations between you and the salesman by offering you the TIP True Internet Price. This is the market valu of what a vehicle sells for in your area and more times than not, is the price the dealership will try to negotiate you down to... If you are prepared with our TIP whrn you sit down with the salesman, buying your new car goes much smoother.
  3. The salesman will try to sell you a car on how much you can pay per month. Try negotiating the price of a vehicle first, then find out what monthly payments will be. Be prepared on the monthly payment by using our auto loan calculators so you are aware of what the final sales price of your car will be monthly in advance.

The Business Manager

Once you are happy with the agreed upon price, you will meet the dealership business manager. While this person handles all of your paperwork also will try to sell you additional products such as extended warranty, credit, auto insurance, security systems and paint and leather protection. Some of these products may appeal to you. Try getting some of these free quotes first before you enter a dealership. This gives you the knowledge of knowing whether the offers the dealership is giving you are good deals. Sometimes, putting these add-on's into the car payment is more comfortable than paying for them seperately. Just know what your financial situation is.
