2009 Acura MDX Vehicle Overview

The new 2009 Acura MDX is an odyssey of sumptuous splendor, a second generation SUV developed for its adaptability, dependability and dynamic performance. Two supplementary features can be found inside the MDX include the steering column which has been designed to move sideways automatically and the design of the seats, which are comfy and snug. There is ample leg room and adequate head room, all of which combine to make the Acura MDX an excellent choice for taller drivers. Another distinct feature built into the MDX is a step-in. For those of us who have a problem getting in and out of SUVs due to the height of the floor from the ground outside, this step-in permits ease of entry.

Most of the dashboard controls are easy to reach and the navigation console is sufficiently high so that a driver can see the MDX's vitals without difficulty at a glance. However, a few of the controls look too similar and some controls are in areas that may be difficult to access for some, requiring the driver to fumble around a bit until they get used to the placement. Easy access through wide doors is another plus, although it might be a problem when parking due to the swing-out distance, which is a side-effect of having large door opening. Another advantage is the second row of seats which swing to the side making it easier to get to the third row of seats. This row is, admittedly, rather cramped – although ideal for the littlest people in the family.

Ample room in the rear area ensures sufficient space for cargo to be transported and a supplementary recessed storage niche located in the floor provides further valuable storage space. When extra seating is more important than cargo space, the Acura MDX has a third row of seats which can be unfolded – ideal for the larger family and all the cargo needed to get the family where they are doing. Another feature is the 60/40 seat split in the middle row, enabling one seat to be folded and two remaining seats to be accessible if needed, providing even more space for conveying longer items.

Many technological accessories are provided as standard, such as a sunroof, heated front seats, leather upholstery, and Bluetooth mobile phone connection, enabling the driver to take a call without actually needing to touch the phone itself. A particularly wonderful attribute is the voice recognition system, once it has been set up.
