As a mommy auto journalist and lifestyles writer, I’ve road tested each and every vehicle and product below for overall value in quality, innovation and design.

Sexy Sport Wagons: Sport wagons are the only practical choice for sexy, yet highly mobile moms. These hatchback sedans are still sporty, can seat a family of five and have heart-pumping performance. BMW and Audi are famous for their sport wagons, but maybe you can’t afford to buy mom the best this year. Think about the green (yes, clean diesel is green) and super-fun-to-drive 2009 VW Jetta SportWagen TDI or the good-looking and great-performing 2009 Hyundai Elantra Touring (pictured left). Just remember to satisfy sexy side with a hot color like sparkling candy apple red.

Heady Headphones: Does mom lose her headphones all the time or can’t ever find them in her big bag? Audio-Technica’s ATH-CK1W In-Ear Headphones are the perfect solution. Made just for women, these superb-sounding tiny headphones come in a brightly-colored tin compact case. The handy case also makes this a great answer to keeping headphones in mom’s glove box or central console.

Got an iPhone Mom? My teenager LOVES her V-MODA headphones, which work with her Apple iPhone (also for iPod). When dad drives the car, now mom can completely shut out those noisy kids and talk on the phone at the same time!

Travel Gear: Some moms like to take sex on the road (that is, when they go on romantic road trips). So, give mom @ScandleCandle. For Moms Who Love Designer Bags: Does your sexy mobile mom change her designer purse with every outfit? Yes? Then, she needs Pouchée.
