The Toyota Camry first came to the U.S. in 1983. Since then, it surpassed the Ford Taurus in 1997 as America’s best selling car. The most recent redesign marks the Camry’s 6th generation and is the largest Camry ever. The Camry chassis is the basis of five other Toyota vehicles including the Toyota Sienna and the Lexus RX. While some felt that the previous Camry fit in too much, the current model will undoubtedly stick out in a crowd. In 2007, an available hybrid model expanding Toyota’s roster of hybrid vehicles was added. The Toyota Camry comes with a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty and gets an estimated 28-34 mpg on the highway.
