Toyota’s flagship, the Avalon, was first released in 1995. In terms of price and quality, the Avalon is intermediary between Toyota and Lexus. Currently in its third generation, the Avalon received a major redesign to make it a more distinct and noticeable than the bland predecessors before it. The 2009 Avalon is Toyota’s biggest car and is roughly the same size as a Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The Toyota Avalon comes with a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty and gets an estimated 28 mpg on the highway.
