The Pontiac G3 is an all-new subcompact for the United States market in 2009. Undercutting the G5 as the entry-level Pontiac model, the G3 comes with an attractive base MSRP of just over $14,000. The Pontiac G3 is stylistically and structurally similar to the Chevrolet Aveo. A 4-cylinder engine delivers decent pep and an estimated 34 mpg on the highway. Though small, the "tall car" design serves to make the interior feel much roomier than its diminutive dimensions imply. Compared to the competition, the Pontiac G3 offers relatively good comfort. As with all Pontiacs, the 2009 G3 comes complete with a 5-year/100,000-mile drivetrain warranty.
