With the addition of the Versa in Nissan’s lineup, the Sentra has been given the opportunity to grow up a little. Although the Sentra is known mostly for its fuel economy and entry-level pricing, Nissan offers its compact sedan with a pair of factory-tuned performance models: the 177-horsepower Sentra SE-R and 200-horsepower Sentra SE-R Spec V. Like most other light-duty Nissan models, the Sentra offers a continuously variable transmission (CVT) to increase ride quality and fuel economy. The Nissan Sentra comes with a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty and gets an estimated 29-33 mpg on the highway.
